Yes, because the black and white transforms our vision, leading us beyond the offered reality. Thinking in black & white obliges one to ponder on the composition, on the lines of strength, on the contrasts.
Thus I am the photographic eye and the composer of space – the graphist.
For me being a photographer is like being displaced. Armed with my camera I can sketch the visual and try to maintain the balance of the construction that I have before me.
It is instantaneous. Nothing is foreseen or decided. It’s a pure moment ripped from time, space, light.
