The aim of this site is to permit lovers of photography to encounter each other in a different manner, designed for those who do the photography, for those who appreciate it …. & for those who wish to purchase works of art.
Different photographers, a different approach to their talent, an opening to the world and conception of “uncomplexed” art with the common denominator - a passion for photography.
Differently. Photography is an art if the photographer is an artist.
Let’s forget the usual cleavages and the “boxes” into which we put photo-reporters, conceptual photographers or advertising photographers. However, we mustn’t consider that all photographers are bearers of art; the statute of being an artist is not attained as soon as works are hung in a gallery!
In a context where these usurpers are gaining foothold, we wish to promote photographers who are artists due to the strength & singularity of their observation, their capacity of seizing images with the exactness of their view of the world and their courage and perseverance in a continual creative process.
We have chosen to present a limited number of artists in order to know them better, understand and follow them. In search of excellence and in true complicity. |
