 Photography in Paris Photography In Paris is the salon of contemporary photography. PIP gathers together 20 to 25 photographic galleries , chosen by dossier not only for their support of (young) contemporary photography but also for the creativity of their artists. For it’s first edition and for the occasion of Month of the Photo, PIP Photography In Paris presents around twenty European galleries - each one well-known for their involvement in promoting the photography of their local artists and other photographers in their countries. Photography In Paris is a state of mind, promoting meetings and discoveries. PIP thus presents a limited choice of galleries in an unusual location where amateurs and collectors get together to share the joys of photography with its purposes, its stakes & its emotions in a warm and often passionate atmosphere. The art market is made open to a new generation of amateurs and buyers, for whom photography is certainly a major creative expression but for whom understanding and the approach must be made easier. With this in mind, the choice of location is essential. Photography In Paris is a strong moment in the heart of the photographic present. PIP assembles the galleries from 12 to 16 November 2008, during the Month of the Photo where Paris becomes a huge meeting place of creative expression , the pole of attraction for all photographic lovers in France and around the world. www.photographyinparis.fr
